Show's On!
Friday, September 30th
Monologue Performances
1:10pm
Audience: 6th, 7th, and other 8th graders
I will determine the order of performances (mostly to provide variety for the audience members and make sure two people with the same speech don't perform in sequence) and post it here midweek.
If you have a definite preference about when you perform (like if you really really want to do your monologue toward the beginning), you can post here and let me know that. Or email me.
I figure next Friday will be another dress-down day, which means you'll definitely need time to change clothes. I plan to end my English class at 12:55 and ask if the other 2 teachers can do the same for the 8th & 9th graders. That gives you an extra 10 minutes to change & be ready for performance.
And what should you be doing this week?
Rehearse
Rehearse
. . . psst! Rehearse!
thanks for a great set of drama classes this week. I'm really pleased by how you guys are beginning to "mesh" as a group. And class is sooooo much fun. =)
Our next unit:

sounds like fun! i will be doing lots of rehearsing this week! I don't want to be last if that's ok....but anywhere is fine!
Drama is really fun! Like Bettina said, I need to rehearse a lot this week. I think I'd like to be somewhere in the middle, but close enough to the beginning that I don't pass out from nervous expectation :). Actually, I'm fine wherever I'm put. Have a good weekend everyone! Go tigers! Rebekah
I'm fine anywhere, but, if I had my choice, I'd go close to the beginning, so I could enjoy everyone else's without that nervous knot in my stomach. :-D The next unit sounds fun!
ok sounds good(there really is nothing else to say)
AAAHHHH! I am majorly nervous! well i would like to go near the beginning, but not first :)

Drama is lots of fun...at least all the laughing we do!!! I will be rehearsing this week, and I am with Jessie, I am fine going near the front. Bethany
haha, i'll go first if you want me too...i don't really mind so very much. I just need to be prepared. I think i'll probably just come in the same clothes i wore for the goth day. maybe the make up too. hehe.
Hm. Iago the Goth. That's a novel interpretation of his character..... 'Twould be an interesting contrast to Othello, the black Moor. Maybe we'll keep that in mind for next year's play. ;)
the amazing thing about Iago as a character is that he's truly scary without the makeup.
Hmmm... I'm open to go wherever you need me. I'm trying to think of some extra prop that's especially "pansy-ish" to add a whole new level to characterization, lol. Any suggestions?
..iono what to wear...
Drama should actually be muchly fun b/c of costumes! :) hehehe thats what i would be looking forward too! :-D
p.s. my name is like the rhyme. u know? *hmmm*
i dont really care where you put me just so you know. as Mr K says "i dont have a favorite, i dislike them all equally." =]
cya tomorrow
I know the words, and i'm trying my best to characterize...so i'm trying and i am definitly practicing my monologue whenever i can, for the most part anyways. i'm really glad so many of y'all want to go first...i'm fine with going in the middle or end, just as long as i'm not one of the last two...
I'd rather not be near the end... iono... wherever is fine.. not first though... eep. -- I gotta get the middle section of my monologue down.. and when to rise... ... will you watch it tomorrow?
hey!!
Ill go first!!(jk)
Anyways i would like to go after sam except I don't think they want the same thing twice. So Ill go after Ryan. maybe
